Job Description:
Lithotype is seeking a Lead Quality Technician to join our team
in the flexible print packaging manufacturing industry. As a Lead
Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the
quality of our packaging solutions for some of the country's
leading brands. Job Expectations: The quality assurance technician
works to ensure plant compliance of our closed-loop quality system
that is driven to reduce process variation. Act as change agent to
drive continuous improvement of production and service processes to
improve quality and increase efficiency, which includes root cause
analysis and problem solving. Responsible for the oversight and
improvement of our quality procedures, by overseeing requirements,
frequency, responsibility, and methods to ensure compliance to
process and product specifications. This position is responsible
for coordination of production trials from start to finish. The
coordination would include but not be limited to: Written docket
instructions, testing results, communication reports, samples and
follow up for next steps. Implement practices and controls to drive
an effective supplier management system. Serve as customer contact
for quality issues. New business transition management. Oversee
Continuous Improvement BRC for plants; manage document control
system. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the customer
specification system. Gather and complete customer feedback and
complete complaint within the ERP system. Trained in BRC, HACCP
Certified Responsible for the development, implementation, review,
maintenance, communications of BRC for Lithotype. Lead and
coordinate the Annual plant review of BRC compliance, internal
audit /schedule, and Coordinate third party audits. Responsible for
coordination of BRC type Root Cause/ Corrective Actions activities
Validation and Verification of BRC controls with determined
frequency/schedule. Establish and maintain Methods/criteria for
monitoring, sampling, inspecting, testing, and analyzing raw
materials, in-process, and finished goods. Review and update
training skills requirements for BRC. This position has full
responsibility for the development and maintenance of BRC related
documents and records. Perform quality checks in two departments
(press and slitting) against the pre-established specification
limits. Assessing and inspecting incoming raw materials through
random sampling against certificate of compliances provided and
recording the data. Communicate with production workers by having
monthly meetings to discuss quality and work together to develop
systems that promote quality. Develops and maintains a rapport with
all customers and suppliers aimed at an expedient resolution of
quality issues/problems. Travel to customer and supplier locations
to drive quality improvement. Perform other duties as assigned by
