Planet Healthcare is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Rockford, Illinois.

36 - 40 hours per week (May require an occasional weekend shift; On-Call rotation; Holiday rotation)
Various Shifts Available
3 - 12 hour shifts per week; Friday - Sunday 8:00A - 8:00P
5 - 8 hour shifts per week; 4 - 10 hour shifts per week
Performs MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts and weekends and call as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned site(s). May be required to flex hours/shift as needed to support the needs of the department. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and participating in projects as requested.
Performs procedures or examinations under the order of a licensed medical practitioner for diagnostic interpretation.
Applies principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others.
Selects and operates the magnetic resonance system, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment to achieve desired results.
Positions the patient and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability, safety and comfort.
Selects appropriate pulse sequences with consideration given to established protocols and other factors influencing data acquisition parameters.
Evaluates images and data for technical quality.
Manipulates and reconstructs digital data for display, ensuring proper identification is evident.
Graduate of an accredited radiography programExperience as an MRI Technologist
CERTIFICATION/ LICENSUREARRT Radiography registration requiredARRT MRI registration requiredApproved CPR or BLS certification required
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
