AssociateDemocracy International (DI) is seeking to hire a Program
Associate for the Bangladesh Strengthening Political Accountability
for Citizen Empowerment (B-SPACE) Project. DI is implementing
projects to promote broader participation in Bangladeshi political
parties by increasing youth and women's representation, promoting
intra-party democracy, facilitating inter-party relationships,
bringing parties together around local priority issues, and
improving the environment for more responsive politics. DI is
recruiting full-time Program Associates in Cumilla, Dhaka, and
Sylhet. Please mention your preferred geographic location in your

reviewed on a rolling basis.Responsibilities:
- Assist the DI team with day-to-day project activities.
- Draft necessary reports in English, including weekly, monthly,
and quarterly reports, case stories, program progress updates,
event reports, and meeting minutes.
- Support planning and executing activities, including logistical
arrangements for workshops, trainings, conferences, meetings,
etc.
- Support facilitating trainings and workshops.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations on project activities.
- Moderate meetings and discussions.
- Coordinate and follow up with stakeholders.
- Manage and develop relationships with stakeholders.
- Interpret event proceedings for expat peers or visitors,
translate documents between Bangla and English, and proofread/edit
documents.
- Conduct field visits to execute project activities in different
regional locations as required by DI.
- Support outreach efforts with local press, CSOs, voluntary
organizations, and on social media.
- Regularly monitor news and share relevant updates with
peers.
- Collaborate and cooperate with teams across the project.
- Assist with procurement of goods and services for project
activities.
- Provide other similar or related services as DI may reasonably
request.Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in political science, social
science, international relations, development studies, peace
building, or any other relevant subject.
- Minimum three years of professional experience demonstrating
the required skills to perform key responsibilities.
- Two years of full-time job experience in project coordination
and implementation preferred.
- Enthusiasm and understanding of the political context of
Bangladesh preferred.
- Communication skills with experience in interacting with
high-level government officials, political leaders, civil society,
and related stakeholders required.
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills in
both English and Bangla required.
- Networking and interaction with public and non-profit
organizations, including political parties, youth and women's
organizations, volunteer groups, social forums, etc.,
preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and
self-discipline required.
- Prior experience with FCDO and/or USAID projects, procedures,
policies, and reporting skills preferred.
- Excellent ICT and computer skills, especially in MS Excel,
Word, PowerPoint, and web research required.Reporting:
